This lazy momma is on the move again! I got up from the computer last night without much motivation, but I did get up and I went for a walk. I wouldn't call it a heart healthy walk. It was more like a mozey, but I was up and moving. I'm glad I did it. Now I can mark my daily challenge as done. That alone was the tiny bit of motivation to get away from the couch.
A good night of sleep and I'm up and around as usual for Monday. I've completed my Monday morning workout.
I'm on my way to walking 60 miles this month!

My 90 Minutes
I scheduled 90 minutes for me this morning. I walked 1 mile, did my pilates and some stretching in my 90 minutes. I was dog tired at the end of my workout. I hope this gets easier.
I'll keep this schedule for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The other 4 days a week I will plan to walk 2 - 3 miles a day. That is my plan for the next 2 weeks.

Walking 60 Miles in 30 Days
I decided I'll shoot for the 60 mile challenge this month. The count down begins! I'm down 2 miles! The pilates program is getting easier and I'm seeing results! Maybe it's a combination of 1200 calories, walking, along with the pilates. Whatever it is, I'm encouraged!
I'm walking 60 miles this month! Are you going to get up and walk with me?

Challenge - 45 Miles!!!
Yeah BABY! 45 miles down and 2 days to go!!!
Okay, I'm a tad excited here. One challenge down. I know, way back at the beginning of the month I thought no problem. I can do 45 miles by the end of the month. I can probably do 90 miles by the end of the month. *hufffff-puffff* Can ya just hear me? lol Those gals walking a 90 mile month - I give you a hand!
Maybe next month I'll take on a 60 mile challenge for real. I have a couple days to decide if I think I'm up to it. I'll definately take on the 45 mile challenge again. There are advantages to taking on the 60 mile challenge. I need to lose weight to meet my monthly goal. I know walking the extra 15 miles will go a long way towards burning those extra calories I need to burn. On the downside, August is hot. Do I want to walk an extra 15 miles in the heat?
Decisions. Decisions. LOL!

One Month!
I've been on sparkpeople.com for one month today and I've lost 9 pounds.
A few things I've learned in the last month.
A few things I've learned in the last month.
- I need to keep a food journal so I can see what triggers me to eat, and so I know how much I'm actually putting into my body.
- I know I'm a stress eater. When I'm stressed I need to find a healthy distraction. Exercise, writing, or cleaning house are good distractions for me right now.
- I need to keep my goals and challenges posted in prime spots around me.
- Water isn't so bad!
- I enjoy walking.
- I have a lot of great support around me. Here at home, my family, friends, and my new online support groups. Thank you!
I'm Here! I'm Here!
I haven't abandoned my blog, I had technical difficulties on the home front. It's good to be back! It's really good to be back with what I consider an awesome report!
- I'm managing to stay active! YAYAYAY!!
- I've dropped two more pounds on my weekly weigh in.
- The best part of my report is I feel much more limber.
- I'm on track to beat the 45 mile challenge!!!
Okay, here's the deal. When you weigh as much as I do, it's pretty darn difficult to get up off the floor with any grace at all. This week I might not be getting up and down with much more grace than I had last month, but I can do it. I can get off the floor without the need for a crane! I don't even need to lean on a table or pull myself up to a sofa. It feels good to get myself up off the floor without any help!
Walking In The Sunshine
It's beautiful outside! It's not too hot and it's not raining, so a walk in the sunshine was exactly what I needed today. I feel awesome this evening! I want to make my goal of 45 miles this month, so I might get out for a sunset walk this evening too.
I'm staying with my goals and challenges. It was a good idea to print them out and place them in different places where they are handy to read. I think anyone starting a new diet and exercise routine should print out their goals and have them in view at critical times of the day. I thought having them here on my blog was good enough, but it wasn't. The reason behind my change of thinking is because I don't always log on in the mornings. I've been logging on later in the day, so I didn't even see my goals and challenges first thing in the morning. That wasn't a good plan.
With my new plan in place I believe I'll do much better at sticking with my goals.

Two Steps Forward One Step Back
I've been doing so great with my new healthy diet and exercise plan, but today was a wipe out. I started my day with desert for breakfast. It all went down hill from there. At least I had my 8 cups of water! I'm back on plan tonight so I'll be off to a great start tomorrow.
Daily Challenges Are Going Well
I might have given myself too many daily challenges. Next month I will stick to five or fewer challenges. I'm doing okay, but I feel somewhat overwhelmed.
I'm walking, walking, walking.
I'm walking, walking, walking.
Time To Start My Goals and Challenges
It's July! I'm excited! Each goal I meet and each challenge I live up to is one step closer to my long term goal of losing all this weight.
July
I've listed my challenges and goals for July in my sidebar. I'm excited to start another month and new challenges and goals. I think I can keep up with these. I know, they might seem pretty simple to some people, but these are challenging for me. Especially eating at an appropriate place. I've always been bad about finishing up my grocery shopping trip with a snack added to the cart just so I can eat it in the car on the way home.
Yesterday I started to scope out snacks in the store, but I gave it a second thought. I'm not even going to eat an apple in the car. I might need to post a sign on the dashboard "No snacks in the car". hehe! I did plan ahead and had bottled water to drink on the way home. I might start carrying an ice chest with me so I always have cold water on hand to ease the temptation of stopping off for a coke. Anything to make this easier!
Like I said, I'm excited about my July challenges and goals!

House Arrest
I so want to step on the scale, but I refuse to do so until the end of the week. I haven't taken measurements and I know they say to do that on the first day, but I haven't made the time.
Oh and I was suppose to go out shopping and spend the entire day in town. I couldn't bring myself to do it! I didn't have any ideas on what to eat if I was to leave the house. Can you imagine? Confining myself to house arrest just to avoid a high calorie lunch!
Well, enough of that! I can't stay home forever! I found a list on sparkpeople.com with a lot of the fast food restaurant nutrition guides listed. Oh thank you!! I will be out and about tomorrow!
